Google Chrome	What do you guys think would Roshi be able to take The great mercenary ive been watching dragon ball, and i seriously love it but would roshi take him!!! Thanks for the input just a fun question i think.

Semi-Buff Roshi > Tsuru-sennin > Base Roshi > Tao Pai Pai Goku easily defeated Tao Pai Pai after Karin-sama's training. Everybody saw how powerful he was after he fought Uranai Baba's warriors. He improved even more over the next 3 years and yet Kuririn was still holding his own against him. Kuririn is ≈ Yamucha and Yamucha was beaten by the same Tenshinhan that fought evenly with Base Roshi. Edited by CatouttaHell, Oct 1 2011, 08:23 PM.

Although Goku and Roshi seemed equal, Goku even having the upper hand due to his size, Roshi makes comments after Goku's training with Korin that he might be stronger than Roshi now. So apparently Roshi was far above Goku in the 21st Budokai. And then there's this line that happens after Goku fought Grampa Gohan Chapter: 108, P13.1 Context: Grandpa Gohan returned to the world beyond. Goku: “Grandpa! When my tail grows back I’m gonna train it too, and I’ll be a whole lot more stronger!” Roshi: “If you get any stronger than you are now, what’s going to happen to my position?...” This one implies Roshi is still stronger at the time.

Implied in the anime filler as well for Roshi and Tsuru' inter relationship as well. The 22nd Budokai Roshi, has been able to surpass Tsuru though. Heck, even his suppressed power he used against Tenshinhan had surpassed Tsuru already...
